Alpha 3 will be attending and presenting at the 2021 AACE International Virtual Conference & Expo June 14 – 18. AACE states “The Conference & Expo convenes the leading cost and project controls experts and dedicated professionals in the world. Presentations undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure attendees receive the highest quality education”. So, it is no small feat that Alpha 3’s Matt Marzilli and Trauner’s Mike Ryan were asked to present on their technical paper, Owner Project Scheduling during the $6B Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. Their presentation will speak to the questions What are the best ways to explain the critical and near-critical paths of a complex schedule to non-schedulers?  How can one effectively distill a 40,000-activity schedule into layouts that the owner’s on-site management team can actually use?  What non-CPM schedule tools can be used to better illustrate the plan and track progress?  The project provides the perfect case study on real time scheduling and project management on a US-based megaproject, however the lessons learned can be applied to large-scale transit projects worldwide.

Alpha 3’s Mark Sanders and Marnie Masiello will be attending AACE’s 2021 Boston Retreat June 21-23. The retreat is a small workshop that focuses on change and claims management in engineering, procurement, and construction. Mark will also be sitting on a panel discussion for Change Management During Planning and Design alongside other experts in the industry.

By leveraging the knowledge our staff, like Mark and Matt, Alpha 3 can provide a full range of services, from initial planning through engineering, construction, commissioning, project close-out, and dispute resolution. You have targets for Time, Cost, and Quality. You don't have to choose two when you choose Alpha 3.
