Alpha3 has been supporting several of our industrial refining clients in the Midwest by identifying real opportunities within their plants towards reducing energy usage. One of our main areas of focus in this regard deals with both process and combustion air pre-heat. Far too many heaters are consuming fuel that is unnecessary when ample pre-heat is generally available. This is especially true where heaters are constantly demonstrating very high (750F and higher) stack temperatures.
